Surgeon, the techno guru who took Jeff Mills by storm in the 90’s with his hard-hitting style that embodies the minimalism of techno in a more physical way, and who has also had hits with Regis and the British Murder Boys since then, has released his latest album, the first in 4 years! Surgeon has released his latest album, his first in four years. This album, produced in a new environment using hardware as well as his real name, shifts from the theme of the previous album, “Transformation,” to “Transmission.” Inspired by a galaxy far, far away that he had been researching, Surgeon shows a new frontier using modular synthesizers. The pure electronic sounds that crackle violently and the heavy bass that forms the basis of the rhythm slowly distort the space, inducing another dimension.
