Junko Fukatsu Sumiko, who has been active in the fields of jazz and Latin music, presents her 10th work, a mini-album “Song of Light,” a message through song and music for people living in Japan today. The spirit of the Japanese language, set to beautiful Brazilian-born melodies, is a healing work that brings peace of mind to a society in turmoil. Especially in “Village” (2) and “Hana no Michi” (5), a world of light shining in the heart emerges. Fukatsu himself broke new ground by writing Japanese poetry and vocals. He is supported by guitarist Hideto Takahashi, who has a deep knowledge of Brazilian music.
