Four different artists. They came from completely different backgrounds and worked under different conditions. The atmosphere of their works is different from each other, but if there is one thing they have in common, it is that they are all very successful in the “field of film music. Korngold, the founder of Hollywood film music; Nino Rota, who played an important role in Italian films; Schnittke, who put artistic music to Russian films; and Philip Glass, who put ambitious and experimental works to film soundtracks. The album’s title “Different Things=Different Things” is related to the album title by recalling their diverse works while listening to their compositions for violin and piano.Naxos Japan
