[Leonard Bernstein (1918.8.25-1990.10.14) was a star conductor who shared popularity with Karajan in the 20th century.) His passionate, emotionally charged, and soulful performances drew the sympathies of many, and he was loved by many with a charismatic following. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, 50 titles are being released in a limited edition with UHQCD, green color label coating, and sound quality specifications. Completed shortly before his death, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 “Pathetique” was his last major work. This is Bernstein’s third recording of the “Pathetique,” and his deep empathy and meticulous singing make for a superb and moving performance. This is a unique performance that differs from the many masterful performances of the same piece.
