Orff’s last dramatic work, “The End of Time” was premiered at the Salzburg Festival in August 1973, conducted by Karajan. Due to its large scale and unusual instrumentation, it has not been performed very often. This recording was made with the same cast one month before the premiere, and is a valuable document of this work. No lyrics translation is included. (C)RS
