Fazil Say’s commemorative disc for his visit to Japan is his first Debussy and Satie. While most of the attention is focused on his exotic compositions and dynamic virtuosity, the impressionistic “few-note” pieces on this disc will take your breath away with their unique depth of reading and exquisite control of tone.
