The “Duo D’Acole” met at the Munich Music Academy at the end of 1999 and formed a duo. The duo has been internationally acclaimed, winning second prize in the piano duo category at the Munich International Music Competition and first prize at the Murray Dranoff, one of the leading duo piano competitions in the United States. They have released albums on several labels and are known for their precise performances of romantic works by Weber, Schumann, Reger, and others, but this time they featured works by the modern composer Tanzmann. Known for his guitar works that combine the styles of his native Poland and French Impressionism, as well as his magnificent orchestral works, Tansman was also an excellent pianist and left behind a number of technical and dynamic piano pieces, and also wrote a variety of piano duo works in the neo-classical style. This album contains four works, including a world premiere recording. The album includes four works, including the world premiere recording of “Night Train” (world premiere recording), which is reminiscent of Honegger.
