This is a collection of works by Oxford-born contemporary composer Lennox Berkley (1903-1989). Perhaps because he studied for a time in Paris under Nadia Boulanger, his early works have a French flavor. This album, which includes three world premiere recordings, offers a wide range of coverage, from works from his Paris years to the twelve-tone and atonal works of his later years, providing a glimpse into this unique composer. Recorded in 2014 by the Berklee Ensemble.
