Description
Kyoto “Takutaku,” September 9, 1977. This live recording preserves the atmosphere of that night and the time that flowed through it.
Supporting Kyozo Nishioka from behind was Caribe no Arashi, bringing together master musicians from east and west including Toshiaki Hayashi
on drums, Masaaki Yamamoto on bass, Masashi Namba on piano, Teruyuki Kokufu on piano, and Eiryu Koh on guitar, all of whom give rich shading
to Nishioka’s songs and words. The repertoire, selected from the four albums “Dylan nite,” “Machiyuki Murayuki,” “Rock-A-Bye My Baby,” and
“Nanbei Ryoko,” traces Nishioka’s path while also touching the core of his music. Including the standard “Pukapuka,” which has been covered by
many artists such as Keisuke Kuwata and Masaharu Fukuyama, and “Circus niwa Pierrot ga,” this LP serves as a best-selection-style work that offers
an overview of his representative songs.
