Following the success of “Sea,” which was much talked about for its cinematic soundscape and ambient piano sound, this is the latest solo piano album by Poland’s proud jazz pianist, Sławek Jaskiewicz. This album was inspired by his 4-year-old daughter’s request, “Let me listen to music when I sleep. This time, he used 432 kHz tuning, which is lower than the usual 440 kHz and is said to be “the frequency of the universe” and “the frequency that has a positive effect on the human body and mind. This is the tuning of the Baroque era, as typified by Bach’s clavier and other works, and its warm, rounded tone has a tremendous effect on the continuous sequence of phrases.
