Seiji Okamoto, a talented violinist. Okamoto, who is currently studying in Germany, has selected for his CD debut a number of works that he “wants to express now” and that he has long wanted to express now. The program is designed to give the audience a sense of the complex and wonderful relationship between Brahms, Robert and Clara Schumann, and the German Romanticism of the mid-19th century through performances of works written by people who lived in an era overflowing with romanticism. Okamoto and pianist Kyohei Tanda, who has been a longtime friend of Okamoto’s, had many careful rehearsals and consultations before recording the piece. The two soloists each have a strong commitment to and passion for music, so don’t miss what kind of chemical reactions will occur between them!
