Description
The Ortofon SPU GTX S Moving Coil Cartridge expands the iconic SPU series with the latest innovations in usability while preserving the range?s renowned tonal richness. A key enhancement is the built-in step-up transformer, which was developed in collaboration with Lundahl Transformers. This feature allows the SPU GTX S to connect directly to standard phono stages or amplifiers, offering a setup comparable to moving magnet cartridges and making it more versatile across audio systems.
Each SPU GTX cartridge is hand-built in Denmark, ensuring meticulous quality control and reliability. The GTX S features a spherical diamond stylus and a unibody design made from a glass-fibre reinforced co-polymera new material introduced for the GTX models. This construction reduces resonance, providing stable and precise performance for the cartridge’s delicate generating system. These elements make the GTX S a blend of tradition and modern engineering for vinyl enthusiasts.
