Xtra Mile Recordings present a reissue of Million Dead’s debut album A Song To Ruin, a landmark in early-2000s UK post-hardcore.
Originally released in 2003, the album was recorded at Mighty Atom Studios and broke into the Top 20 of the Independent Chart. It drew acclaim for its blend of incendiary punk energy and lyrical sharpness, with Kerrang! hailing its “jaw-droppingly fiery, punk-fuelled noise laced with intelligence and soul” and The Independent calling it “a quite incredible debut.”
A Song To Ruin features the singles ‘Breaking The Back’ and ‘I Am The Party’—the latter A-listed on MTV2—and earned the band a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards.
