Kazuhito Yamashita, one of Japan’s leading classical guitarists, has yet to break the record he set at the age of 16 as the youngest ever winner of the world’s three major guitar competitions: Ramirez (Spain), Alessandria (Italy), and Paris (France). In 1994, Yamashita recorded a CD of Vivaldi and Giuliani with the great master Simone in Italy, and in 1994, he recorded a CD of Vivaldi and Giuliani for Yamashita with the great master Simone in Italy. The two CDs include the world premiere recording of Giuliani, Takashi Yoshimatsu’s masterpiece “The Tenma Effect” written for Yamashita, and Berklee’s masterpiece recorded in Paris in 1986 by the staff of the Erato label.
