The masterpiece released the year after “Hoodoo Man Blues” has been reissued! It’s My Life, Baby!” was released the following year on the strength of “Hoodoo Man Blues” (1965), one of the greatest blues albums in history. Junior Wells’ harmonica and Buddy Guy’s guitar are still strong, and the studio performance and live recording (at Peppers Lounge on 43rd Street in Chicago) bring back the realism of those days. Although it is a step behind “Hoodoo Man Blues” in terms of name recognition, the “unmistakable charm and scent of a masterpiece” on this album is beyond , and there are many blues fans who prefer this album. (Four single tracks are added as bonus tracks.) Commentary: Toshio Imazawa
