Cut for Verve at the height of the US-Brazil exchange, the record pulls in Jobim standards alongside Bonfa originals, with Antonio Carlos Jobim and Maria Toledo add extra colour. Getz keeps his tone lighter, unforced, noding on nylon-string rhythms with faint harmony, while Bonfa anchors the set with fluid guitar lines and melodic restraint. This Acoustic Sounds Series reissue comes from analog tape transfers onto 180g vinyl with gatefold sleeve, keeping the original Olga Albizu artwork in plain view.
