One year after its launch in October 2018. Days of Delight”, a new platform for jazz in Japan, features the duo of alto saxophone virtuoso Hidefumi Toki and the next generation pianist Mayuko Katakura. Recorded at Taro Okamoto’s studio! Included are standard tunes loved by jazz fans such as “Kareha”, “Kuroi Orfe”, and “Lover Man”, as well as Hidefumi Toki’s masterpiece “AfterDark”. Hidefumi Toki’s unique, lustrous, and overwhelming tone, and Mayuko Katakura’s dynamism as she takes it and develops it. The sound spun by the two is filled with respect for each other and the joy of performing together.
