This is the seventh, a classic by the scene’s centre, Kingpin Skinny Pimp and his Gimisum Family and their self-titled album, recorded in 1994. This album, like all Memphis Rap titles reissued by Now-Again, was originally released on rare tapes, only distributed in and around Memphis. This is the first time this album appears on LP; it’s pressed on limited edition galaxy silver & clear coloured vinyl, and comes in an OBI wrapped jacket that contains an oversized 12-page book that details the historical precedent, genesis, and arc of this important American musical scene.
