This is a very rare first release in 1967 by a folk-blues singer popular among British swamp fans for his 1976 Decca release and others. Produced by John Mark (later Sweet Thursday, Marc Almond), who also produced Marianne Faithfull’s debut album. Backed by Pentangle’s rhythm section and Ray Warley (saxophone), this is a rare recording of his own roots blues classics such as “Midnight Special” and “See See Rider” performed with great flavor.
