This is the first project (released in 2000) by a Birmingham, U.K.-based production unit led by Rob Derbyshire that invited female R&B singers from the U.K. and the U.S. Beverly Brown and Ruby Turner participated in the project. Their cover of “Betcha’ Wouldn’t Hurt Me,” known by Patti Austin, was a hit.
