This is a great album by a quartet fronted by Zoot Sims, a famous tenor man who had been a pianist for Dave McKenna, a pianist who emerged as a sideman in the late 1940’s. This album was recorded in 1974, but has long been in the dust. This fantastic work, which was recorded in 1974 but had been long lost in the Okura era, has been reissued in the CD era and is finally being released as a Japanese edition!
