The world’s oldest classical label “Deutsche Grammophon” with over 120 years of history, and “Decca” (including former Philips), which will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2019, and has such great masters as conductor Seiji Ozawa and pianist Mitsuko Uchida belonging to its labels. The series of evergreen masterpieces from both Decca and Philips labels will be released! We conducted a survey of about 25,000 people in the classical music industry and members of our newsletter. The campaign will release 20 titles in each genre every two weeks, for a total of 100 titles. Verdi’s “Requiem,” the greatest master of Italian opera, is so operatic and dramatic that it is hard to believe that it is a religious work. The music of “The Day of Wrath” is well-known on television and other media. This disc, recorded by the virtuoso Abbado with a splendid cast of singers during his tenure as artistic director of La Scala in Milan, is a masterful performance of this masterpiece, rendered with clarity and precision.
