Description
:
This is one of ONDINE’s focused series of Baltic composers’ works. The title “Elegy of Moorland” by Estonian composer Tunu Korvits (1969-) for mixed chorus and string orchestra is composed in nine parts from a poem by the English poet Emily Bronte (1818-1848). As the composer herself said, “I travel to a dark and deep place where one should not look in,” and the whole is a beautiful work filled with a dark and mysterious atmosphere without a coherent plot. Recorded in 2015.
