Description
:
London-born composer Dodgson’s works span most genres, from operas and orchestral works to songs, and this is the third in his series of chamber works for the Toccata label, this time featuring oboe works. These works, which make full use of the oboe’s tone, inherit the austere style of Britten and Tippett, and are colored with deep emotion and elegance reminiscent of late autumn and winter landscapes.
