Description
:
British pianist Bruce Livingstone is known for creating albums with strong messages in each one. In the past, he has released albums covering classical and contemporary works based on concepts such as “light and dark,” “deep sleep,” and “quiet sounds. The album includes a literary Schumann piece, Bruce’s “The Shadow of the Blackbird” inspired by a Wallace Stevens poem, and Matheson’s elegant “Windows,” inspired by the Bible and stained glass windows. All are beautiful works backed by a rich sensibility, and you can tell that Levingston enjoys playing them.
