Long-awaited by fans, Atsuko Amma’s first new album in three years is her 14th all-newly recorded album. Atsuko Amma, who still performs 50 times a year, looks back over half a century of her life on the violin and has recorded some of her most memorable masterpieces. Tenma performed with piano virtuoso Hiromi Okada for the first time in four years since “Tabibito no uta” (Songs of a Traveler). Arranged for violin and piano, the theme songs from “Tokyo Story” and “The Taste of Autumn Fishes” were recorded to commemorate the 115th anniversary of Yasujiro Ozu’s birth. (C)RS
