Aki Takahashi’s piano works by composers who were deeply involved in her creation as premieres, dedications, etc. Aki Takahashi has earned the trust of many distinguished contemporary composers for her earnest performances that bring out the essence of her works. This CD contains piano works by six composers who were deeply involved in Takahashi’s creation, including a work that Yun composed in Takahashi’s image and dedicated to her with the initial A in its title, a work that Yuasa wrote for her recital, and a work that she played together with Feldman at the piano after being directly exposed to his views on music. In addition to rare sound recordings of works by Yorinori Matsudaira, whose scores have not yet been published, and works written for her husband Kuniharu Akiyama by Yorioaki Matsudaira, the liner notes in which Takahashi describes episodes from the composers and works are of great documentary value.
