The last live recording album of the jazz unit Fried Pride, which announced its dissolution, with France’s oldest orchestra, the Pasdeloup, founded in 1861. The orchestra is arranged and conducted by Gust Waltzing, who produced Angelique Kidjo’s album with the orchestra “Sings With The Luxembourg Philharmonic” and won a Grammy Award (2016). The concert was a moving experience, with shiho’s soulful vocals and Yokota’s technical guitar playing enveloped in a gorgeous orchestral sound. In addition to jazz standards such as “Smile” and “Take Five,” the concert featured Randy Crawford’s hit “Sweet Love (original title: ALMAZ),” “Rose,” sung by Bed Midler, Deep Purple’s “Purple Flame,” and other Western favorites, as well as “Riverside Hotel” by Inoue Yosui and hits by Kyu Sakamoto. The program includes a wide range of songs that only Fried Pride can offer, from “Riverside Hotel” by Inoue Yosui to the hit song “Mimikagoregoran Yoru no Hoshi wo” by Sakamoto Kyu.
